Primal Quest 2008 is over and it is time to thank our incredible support as well as all our fans that followed our journey through the mountains of Montana. It was an incredible experience and was brought to an end by unfortunate injuries - Sean had to stop at the end of the Bridger Ridge hike with a knee injury, and the next day Tim made the decision to pull out as well due to a shoulder injury from a bike crash earlier in the week.  7 days and 81,000 feet of elevation gain later we were almost there…… Lots of tears and sadness, but also pride that we got as far as we did.

Our support team was incredible - many thanks to Shelly, Emma and Mairin for their incredible care and support over the race. They worked 24 hrs a day and kept us fed and focused. Without Mairin’s sports massage and taping we would not have made it past Day 1!  Mairin’s husband Peter Viol came out for the start of the race and was invaluable, setting up our bike computers, running errands, and helping out with our skill testing.  Our mini fan club - Julia, Will, Jessie and Madison were there for us at all the transitions and their enthusiasm was contagious.  Many thanks to all of you.

The letters of support and phone calls have been much appreciated. Parents, siblings, friends and even strangers have sent messages of encouragement and we appreciate them all.  The other teams and support crews were amazing, sharing information, gear and support. It was an honour to get to know so many wonderful people.
